After two days, three flights and many time zones, we arrived to spring in sunny and blue-skied Auckland, NZ. We are renting a surburban Airbnb apartment and it’s been a great way to kick the jet lag with fresh air, playgrounds and lots of walking.
We rode the ferry into the city center today and enjoyed walking around the harbour and to their Sky Tower landmark (no bungee jumping for us!) We also visited a very well done Museum of Technology and Transport – MOTAT, because that’s what you do when you have two boys who love trains, airplanes and the history of technology.
We love this city and all its modes of transportation. Today we were in an Uber (visited a local church), ferry, bus and trolley. Tomorrow we’re venturing out to one of the other islands, Waiheke.
Hello Rutledges!! Looks like tons of fun! Luke, Jack says hello and asks about you and where you are frequently. He will enjoy this update!! Xoxo, the Ryans
