Today, we (we being Chloe, me, Mia, Sienna, Matt, Charne, mom and dad) got up and went to school. We walked through the park with their dog, Kaylee.
I went to Chloe’s second grade class. Ms. Cotter is her teacher and I liked her. The classroom had tables instead of desks. They had computers. We started the day with quiet reading. During circle time, I talked to the class about where I’m from and our trip. My favorite part of the day was recess.
Last week I also got to visit Austin’s third grade class. I talked to his class about Athens Academy and how my school is different and similar to his. They put up a world map and I pointed out Georgia and the other countries where we are going.
I liked visiting both schools in Melbourne and I can’t wait to go to school again in Kenya with Richard.

Em, the schools were very similar to ours. The kids and teachers were very nice to me, and they were learning all of the same stuff. Recess was my favorite part of the day! I’ve been reading a lot and doing my schoolwork from Mrs. Billmayer’s class. Mom says I have to start practicing cursive after our Christmas break!
