Happy New Year! We spent the last days of 2015 on the remote and barely-inhabited island of Koh Yao Noi in the Andaman Sea of Thailand. After Christmas at a modern resort, we decided to go ultra rustic and rented a treehouse bungalow with hammocks, mosquito nets and intermittent running water. It was like stepping back into summer camp, but in a jungle book setting. Mitch’s brother Walker joined us (more to come from Mitch on that!) and we split our time being lazy in the beach hammocks and adventuring throughout all the smaller islands, caves and cliff tops by kayaks, longtail boat and bikes. I could not get enough of the view and one of my favorite memories was watching the sunrise and sunset on New Year’s Eve, beautiful bookends on an amazing year.
Beautiful! Looks like you are having a great adventure! Thanks for sharing! Happy New Year! I started my blog that we talked about todaylivebetter.com. Hey Luke, you’ve got some pretty cool parents:) Enjoy your travels! Shani
