We just couldn’t stay away from Italy and spent a few weeks in the northern part of the country after our adventures in the south (with a quick diversion to Barcelona and Lyon.) I recovered from my slump in Florence during a fun night out with our WWOOFing friend Diego.

We picked up Walker and Julia and enjoyed eating our way through the less-touristy Emilia Romagna district, visiting Ferrari, a parmesan cheese family farm and the gelato museum. The kids loved Bologna, too!

Spending the week with family was so special, especially in the next stop, our favorite region of Tuscany. We rode bikes, visited wineries and San Gimignano, one of my favorite hill towns.
With just a few days before we pick up Nana in Nice, we decided to relive our honeymoon days by hiking the Cinque Terre. Viva l’Italia!
I’m so glad Walker and Julia came to visit and it looks like y’all had a great time!! I can’t wait to be there myself!! Real hugs real soon!! Love, Nana
